SVG Card Blog Hop

Welcome to day ONE of the Susan's First Anniversary Blog Hop.
We are helping Susan celebrate with a SVG Bloghop!
You should have arrived here from  Sher's blog.
If you just happened to stumble upon this hop,
please be sure to go back to
Susan's blog to start at the beginning.

For my project I created this Hello Kitty postcard…
I am participating in a Hello Kitty postcard swap, so I thought
this would be a perfect svg file to share with you.

Recipe:
Light blue (sky) cardstock is cut at 6" wide x 4 1/4" tall.
The sand and water are handmade.
Both sand layers are torn at the top to the approx. ht. shown.
The water has a wavy top cut with regular scissors.
The umbrella, chair, glass, cloud, and kitty are all cut from the svg files.
The sand castle and orange pail are actually buttons.
I stamped the "Just Saying Hello" sentiment onto the cloud.
I also chalked each piece before gluing them down.
The top pc. of umbrella and the chair are both pop dotted.
I added Glam Pink stickles to Kitty's sunglasses and swimsuit
and Star Dust stickles to the glass in Kitty's hands.

To get your free SVG please click HERE or the photo below.

With 20 pieces and 9 recommened colors,
We hope you have a beach full of fun!
Note: The recommended size for the postcard is 6" wide x 4 1/4" tall.

Thank you so much for hopping by and I hope you enjoyed
your visit.  Don't forget to stop on back tomorrow to see
another project and get another FREE svg file!

Your next hop is Cindy's blog at
www.creativepointe.blogspot.com

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Cooking in the Crock Pot

As some of you may already know...
I am not much of a cook... however, I was very proud of myself
(or shall I say my crockpot) for making some super yummy pot roast
last night. The recipe is below... it turned out delicious!!
My last crockpot experience didn't turn out so well.
(see the pic of that below)
On Valentine's Day I suprised hubby with lasagna...
but the bottom layer burned. Fortunately, the middle and top
were still pretty tasty.  I have always believed... if you add cheese to
pretty much anything (edible) it will make it taste better!

Best Pot Roast Ever!
(in the CrockPot)

•2-5 pound pot roast (any kind)
•1 envelope ranch dressing (dried)
•1 envelope Italian dressing
•1 envelope brown gravy mix
•Potatoes and Carrots
•1 to 1-1/2 cup water

What you do:

1. If you wanted carrots and potatoes in your CrockPot,
cut them to your liking and put in the bottom of your CrockPot.

2.Put Roast on top of vegatables.

3.Sprinkle all 3 spice envelopes on top.

4.Add the water.

5.Cook on LOW for 6-10 hours until tender and veggies cooked through.

********************

Here is a pic of the crockpot lasagna that the bottom burned.
The recipe called for it to cook for 6 -10 hours on low...
and this happened when I went to check it at 6 hours.
This is actually just the bottom that I scraped out of the crock pot...
I took a pic of it and sent to hubby... here is dinner tonight. lol

After scraping the burnt bottom out, I put the rest of the crockpot
lasagna into a casserole dish.... added more cheese on top and put
it in the oven for awhile.  Here is pic of the lasagna.
It tasted pretty good... just a tad bit dry though.

Here are more pics from our little Valentine's Day dinner.

Feb. Cuts for Cut Swap

Here are my cuts for the Feb. Cut Swap.
The letters are cut large enough for a 12 x 12
layout and the small heart with flourish is
perfect size for a card or a layout.

If you are interested in joining our monthly cut swap,
please let me know.  It is on a month to month basis...
so you are NEVER required to participate.
We do a roll call at the end of each month for the following month.
Requirement is to cut TWO cuts for each person in your group
(only 6 people in a group) so you make no more than 10 cuts.
Your cuts can be from any diecutting machine....
but we ask that you paper peice them and embellish them.

We are getting closer and closer to our giveaway....
once we hit 350 followers we will be giving

(The same paper I used for my second mini album in the pics below)

We have a great line-up for you today and you should have arrived from
Carolyn's blog... If not, or you just dropped in to visit today,
we don't want you to miss a single story of the travels
of our
"characters" from start to finish and would love for you to

I apologize now if this takes awhile to load...
I hope it is worth your wait.

Last Sept. some of my friends and I took a road trip
to the Wizard of Oz Museum in Wamego, KS.
We had so much fun there... we decided to be characters
from Wizard of Oz for Halloween that next month.

(We each stood next to the wax figure of who we
were going to be for Halloween and had our pic taken).

I purchased this chipboard album kit from  Archivers and
altered it quite a bit.  I fell in LOVE with Graphic 45's Wizard of
Oz line of paper... so I knew I had to create this album asap!

Another chipboard album... but this time, it's for our Halloween pics.

My Funny Valentine

I have been saving up my V-Day projects to display on the blog. This is the first layout I have made in a while. My favorite part is the little puppy stamp- it is from Prima. I didn't even know Prima made stamps! I sprinkled a liberal dose of vintage findings, and I used a sheet of vintage-themed Valentine paper I have been hoarding for a couple of years. When I showed it to my son, he said, "eh." It's a good thing a mother's love is unconditional!

Valentine's Day - Card Creating Tuesday

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

For today's My Cricut Craft Room Design Team project,
I chose to create a Valentine card for my Dear hubby, John.
I used the Sweethearts cartridge to create this card.

If I had it to do over, I probably would not have
used the patterned paper....  and just stuck with the solids...
red, white, and black instead... since its a 'guy' card.

I'm making a lasagna for dinner tonight...
first time ever making a lasagna.
Wish me luck that it turns out well!!
I am possibly the world's WORST cook!
I hate cooking! But we eat out so much that I
wanted to do something special for Valentine's
dinner for hubby. I'm just hoping it doesn't flop!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving some Valentine's Day love! ;)

Be sure to check out the wonderful cards that my
DT Sisters created over at
My Cricut Craft Room.

Puppy Love Valentine Cards

Here are some mini valentine cards that I made last week.

These printable tops are from Card Buddy's
over at  Aimee Asher's
website.

I added the printouts to a mauve cardstock card base...
then inked the edges with light brown ink, added brads
in each corner and finally cut out and pop dotted
the decoupage pcs.  They turned out so cute!

I LOVE Card Buddy's... they are all so cute
and it's a quick and simple way to make cards!

Super Bowl Party Decorations

Here are some deocorations that I made for a friends
Super Bowl Party.  My dear hubby created the svg files
of the football helmets and logos for me.  The goal post
came from Life's A Party cartridge.  I embossed the footballs...
they were the exact size of the embossing folder so they fit perfectly.
