Love Is Tweet

A quick little anniversary card using American Crafts paper. I love the birdies!I backed the paper with some embossing (the paper itself was embossed). I think my Cuttlebug Polka Dot folder is the most versatile embossing folder ever. I topped everything with some hearts from my Cricut and a little heart sticky gem. I've been way into sticky gems lately- I think they are my new sequins! Whats your favorite embellishment?

Halloween Mini Albums

I am currently participating in a Halloween themed Mini Album Swap.

I had to create 3 of the same mini albums.... size 4 x 4.
I used the new Authentique Halloween line of paper
and some other paper and embellishments that I had.

Here are close ups of the individual pages.

Sarah's Baby Shower

 CONGRATS to Sarah & Josh!!
(She may want to kill me after posting this pic on here.. Sorry Sarah)

I'm finally getting around to posting the
pics from the baby shower a few weeks ago.

My Mom & I hosted a baby shower for my Sister in law
and little brother.  We chose a PINK VS. BLUE Co-Ed
Football theme
because both are football fanatics.

We had a great turnout! It was a lot of fun!!

Most of my ideas were inspired by me new love...
Pinterest!!

I chose to make a diaper wreath
instead of the traditional diaper cake.

I purchased my wooden base for the wreath at Michael's
for about $6.00, then a pack of diapers, along with some
small baby related items, such as binkies, lotion, shampoo,
fork/spoon, powder, bib, etc.  Near the top on both sides are
two washcloth lollipops. To create the "lollipops"... I rolled
two different colored baby washcoloths like a snail, placed it
onto a plastic baby spoon and wrapped saran wrap tightly
around the washcloths to hold them in place.
Then I tied ribbon into a bow around the neck of the lollipop.

The punch was a huge hit with children and adults alike.
I used blue Hawaiian punch, Sprite, White Grape Juice,
and plain Vanilla Ice Cream to create the suds.

FYI... the suds quickly turn blue.
As you can see in the pic below.
But still looks somewhat like a bubble bath.

We played several fun games..... and for prizes,
I decorated Hershey candy bars.
Who doesn't LOVE chocolate?

I absolutely LOVE how our Watermelon baby turned out.
Isn't He or She adorable?  This was super easy to make.
Definitely NOT as complicated as it looks.

And thanks to one of my super talented cousins
for creating the awesome cake!  She even added little
pink and blue icing diapers on each baby.

Thanks to another awesome cousin,
Lewis, for taking all the pics that day!

His wife, Amber and my soon to be Sister in Law, Tonya,
helped with the chocolate covered strawberry footballs.

My Mom bought some beautiful
pastel flowers for a centerpiece.

Here are more table decor.... I found these cute BABY
conversation heart candies (similar to the ones sold around
Valentine's Day) but they have baby words printed on them instead
at Party City along with some baby shower mints individually wrapped.
We also created tiny little booties from small condiment cups,
two cotton balls (for the toes), wrapped in a white napkin,
and ribbon to tie around it to hold it all into place.
   I added
pastel colored sticklets and mixed nuts into each bootie.

Here is our Score board that I hung up for more decor.
It's made with black poster board, chalk, and the wording,
I cut from white cardstock using my Cricut.

I created this candy bouquet for decoration on the food table.
I made tiny little candy bar wrappers from baby themed
scrapbook paper.
And then I had my awesome helpers
(hubby and brother in law, Paul) help with making the
Taffy ka-bobs.  The kids LOVED these!!

The weekend before the baby shower, we had a benefit garage sale
at my house.  There was sooo many cute baby clothes leftover from
the sale so I decided to add them to her shower gifts...
I wrapped them up in medium sized packing boxes,
used the backside of Christmas wrapping paper, used blue
duct tape for the edges of each box and added giant ABC letters

that I cut using my Cricut.  The alphabet blocks made a nice
decoration touch to our party, too.

We played several games... I purchased these cute
little rub off scratcher cards from Party City online.

Below, I have listed the other games we played that day....
we truly had a blast!
Thanks to everyone who came out
to help us celebrate Josh and Sarah's new arrival!

Don't Say BABY

The object of our first game is to collect the most necklaces.
You can't say the word "baby" or whoever hears them can take
their necklace, and vice versa. Even the person with five necklace
s on can have them all taken away if she says the word “Baby” too!

Birthing Babies

We need one member from each team to be the faux
"parent to be" for this ice melter game.
As time ticks by, the ice begins to melt and the baby is closer
and closer to its due date! Whoever has a baby first, wins.

Dirty Diapers

What’s that Smell? An icky dirty diaper is no one’s friend—
but what if the gooey center is actually candy?
We melted several types of chocolate candy bars in
these pretend diapers
(folded napkins). Pass the
diapers around and each person can sniff the gooey
‘poo’ centers in order to guess which brand of candy
bar is in each diaper. The person with the best
nose for chocolatey-tasting ‘number two’, wins!

Guess the Baby Food

If you’ve ever thought that baby food in jars looks less
like the ‘peas’ or ‘carrots’ they purport to be and more
like miscellaneous mush, this is the game for you. Yummy!
Can you tell what each jar of food tastes like?
We ask each guest to grab a spoon and start sampling!
The guest with the keenest taste buds
wins a prize for getting the most correct.

 Drink Up, Baby!

We need four volunteers (2 from each team).
On the count of three, you must suck the bottle dry
as quickly as possible. The first person to down the
contents of his or her bottle wins.  Drink up, Baby!

Diaper Derby

On your mark, get set, go! Divide into 4 pairs.
Choose which of you will be the baby and which will
be the parent. You all will be given five minutes to
wrap your partner up in a mock diaper. The team with the most
creatively diapered ‘baby’ wins.  Momma Sarah will be our judge
.

Clean & Dirty Diapers

Who has the dirty diaper?  Peek in and read the sticker
on the inside of your diaper.  If you have the poopy diaper…
You Win!

Don’t Say It Board Game

Can you describe the word "Bottle" without using "Feed",
"Milk" or "Formula"? Test your skills with the fun Don't
Say It Baby Shower Game! Pair up into teams.  One at
a time, you will each be given a bottle-shaped card with
a baby-themed word that you must describe without
using the five words beneath it. We will warm that
bottle up by using  an hourglass timer to limit
the amount of time for guessing the answers!

Ball Toss Game
Let the good times roll! This game is played by tossing the
ball from player to player. Whichever stripe the person who
catches the ball's RIGHT hand is on indicates the card color
he/she should select. Colors indicate three quiz and dare categories:  ______________________ , _________________________ , ____________________________.

Scratch off Cards

Feeling the itch to win a prize? Scratch one of these
Scratch & Win Baby Shower cards and you just might!
Our Scratch & Win Baby Shower Game features scratch
off cards that reveal hidden images.

The guest that gets the card with 3 identical images wins!

Baby Bingo (LAST GAME BEFORE OPENING GIFTS)

Fill in the squares with gifts you think the new Mom will receive.
Any line of 5 wins.
There are 12 different ways to win this BABY BINGO.

Yes... we play a lot of games.... and had a blast!!
