Would You Guess Wednesday

Today is...

Would You Guess Wednesday
over at
My Cricut Craftroom.

This means... when you look at the handbook,
you cannot use the main image on the left side of the page.
But you can use ALL of the other features or layers.

(Which is what I have done for this project)

or

You can use a CAKE cartridge to make a Paper creation.

or

On certain days we can use the same paper
and see what everyone does with
the same paper collection.

or

You may also pick a 'partner'...
Basically we partner up and use the same cartridge
with the same pages, sizes and cuts.

For my project, I used an apple from
HAPPILY EVER AFTER DISNEY cartridge.
The cut was actually made by Kitty Cropper
and I used it to create this cute Back to School card.
But she used my Disney cart to cut it
for the KC Croppers Cut Swap.
I actually use the "other" features on
this cart more than the main images.
This is a great cartridge to have even
if you don't like all the Disney princesses.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wizard of Oz Chipboard Album

Okay...
I am not completely finished with it... yet....
but I wanted to show you all a lil' teaser pic!

I absolutely LOVE this album!!
It is a kit from Archivers.
I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.

I was a bit intimidated by it at first but once I opened up my pkg.
and started reading all the directions... it was a breeze!

More pics of the Oz album to come later this week!!

Be sure to stop by tomorrow too...
I have a card I am posting that I created for
My Cricut Craftroom's DT.

Thinking of You

A little card I banged out in a few minutes using a cut from the KC Croppers cut swap and some pretty new Me and My Big Ideas paper I got for a song at TJ Maxx. I'm a sucker for those fall colors!

Fall / Halloween Cut Swap

Hello

First of all... I apologize for not posting much lately....
I have been super busy.
I'm so glad that Kristie and I share this blog...
seems to work out pretty good...
she posts when I am unable and I post when she is unable to.

Last week I had Jury Duty... it went pretty good...
I got out of it after the first day.
I was one of the lucky ones who was not chosen for the actual jury.
Thank goodness!!

I have been doing a lot of scrapping in what little spare time
I have had recently. So there will be plenty to post in the near future.
One project that I am super excited about is a Wizard of Oz chipboard
album kit from Archiver's that I have almost completed...
I absolutely LOVE it!!
Pics are coming soon!!
I am hoping to have it completed sometime this week.

I am currently participating in two Cricut Cut Swaps...
the first is the KC Croppers Cut Swap and the other
is the My Cricut Craft Room Design Team Fall / Halloween Swap.
I have added a pic below of my cuts for the Fall / Halloween Swap.

I hope everyone has a great week!
My thoughts and prayers go out to all
those who were affected by Hurricane Irene.

Cuts are from:
Simply Charmed (Ghost),
Speaking of Fall (Pumpkin),
Hello Kitty Greetings (Bat)

Fun Find- Umbra Grass Organizer

Glue pens.

Argh.

As you know if you read my Know Scrap Review on adhesives, I am constantly looking for THE craft glue that will chase away the dark clouds of adhesive inadequacy that dog my projects. I haven't found it yet,but what I do have is quite the collection of glue pens. I see them as a necessary evil- they are always a little temperamental, but they are the best bet for all of the detail work on my cricut cuts. Shell let me in on a secret a while back that has helped make them work a little better- they should be kept upright while in use so that the glue stays at the tip. She uses a Solo cup turned upside down with a hole cut in the base for her glue stand- it keeps it upright, and it grips on to the cap so she can recacp between applications, then pull the glue pen right out when she needs it. Her system works, but if you need a thick and a thin line pen, that means two Solo cups... but no more!

I have found the perfect answer for keeping multiple glue pens of ANY size (including Tombow applicators) upright, both while in use and while in storage. The Umbra grass organizer keeps the pens upright, grips the lids tightly enough you can take the pen in and out of the cap while using it without removing the cap from the holder, and it looks cute to boot. All of this, and it was only $4.99 at TJ Maxx. And the piece de resistance? Mine is a lovely shade of hot pink! Too cool!

August Cut Swap

I had some fun and modded a couple of Twinkle Toes dancers into a bride and groom. I had a September wedding to make a card for, and I was looking for a cute chibi-style bride and groom. I didn't find what I wanted, so I made my own, with a little help from a white cupcake wrapper (^-^)

My Cricut Craftroom Scrapbook Saturday

Hello!
Thanks for stopping by!! :)

First, I would like to thank all of you for your prayers
for my aunt and the rest of the family this past week.
My uncle passed away unexpectedly at the age of
44 from a massive heart attack last Sunday afternoon.
It will surely be a long and difficult road ahead for my aunt.
They have no children of their own, so I can not imagine going back
into the home all alone once all the family have gone back to their homes.
Please keep her in your prayers!!

Below, I have added a super quick layout that I created for
my preschool teaching days. Hope you enjoy checking it out!

Supplies I used....

B is for Boy Cricut cartridge to create the Xylophone and stacking rings toy.
Doodlecharms cartridge to create the cute little teddy bear.
and finally the San Serif Font cartridge to create the lettering "Daycare Days 2010"
I apologize for not knowing exactly what paper I used for this 2 page layout.
It is stuff I have accumulated through the years... many
don't have the company name on the backs of the pages.

Cute Archiver's Make and Take

Shell and I ventured out to our local Archivers yesterday to make this cute card. Neither of us had any experience with quilling, so we decided to give it a shot. It's precise work, but not overly complicated. I would love to get into this more, though I hardly need another thing to do as I go back to school!

Belated Anniversary Card

Yikes! My summer is almost over- Tuesday, I'm back to school. July has been a whirlwind month for me, and somewhere along the way, I forgot to send out a card. Darn! I hate when that happens. So, this is my belated offering to a dear couple for their anniversary. I was inspired by a button rainbow pic on Pinterest. I used my Hello Kitty Greetings cart for the clouds.
