Scrapbook Saturday

For today's MY CRICUT CRAFT ROOM
design team project, I created this layout using
Once Upon A Princess cricut cartridge.

I also added a sheer bow to this layout...
I love adding bows to everything...
someone asked in a comment the other day
how I create my bows... I use the EZ bow maker...
it's awesome. I highly recommend it! I think I paid only
$5.00 for it a couple of years ago... and have used it soooo much!
Sorry, I can't remember the exact website I purchased it from, but
I'm sure if you do a google search... you'll be able to find it.

Festive Friday

For today's
MY CRICUT CRAFT ROOM
design team project, my hubby created the Haunted
House from the Happy Hauntings cartridge.
Yes... I said my hubby!
He is into paper crafting and is actually much better
at it than I am. Here are pics of his 3D haunted house.

projects over at

Theme Day Thursday.... Pirates & Princesses

For today's MY CRICUT CRAFT ROOM design team project,
I made both pirate page layouts and a princess banner.

My nephews always spend a couple weeks with me during
the summer and we always throw a party for them and
my friends kids before they go back home to St. Louis.
This particular year, the 7 yr. old wanted to do a pirate party.
We played games, made a craft, ate pizza, and went
on a treasure hunt. The kiddos had a great time.

To create these layouts, I used Life's A Party cartridge.
This is one of my favorite carts!

I also used it to create the Valentine card below.
The tiny hearts (eyes) were from a small punch.

To create my princess banner,
I used the Nursery Rhymes cartridge.
And as you can tell, I am a bit obsessed with bows!

Be sure to check out My Cricut Craft Room for more awesome
Pirate and Princess projects created by other DT members!

Have an awesome day!! It's my birthday so
hubby and I are planning on going out to see a movie and
probably dinner at my favorite pizza place, Gambinos! :)

Scrapbook Saturday

Hello!

Here it is almost 4 am... and I can not sleep.

I thought for sure I would be exhausted
by the end of Friday... spent almost the
entire day at the Creating Keepsakes convention...
walking around the vendor fair... shopped all day.
Found lots of goodies. I will share pics of my 'haul' later.
Got some really great deals! :)

Anyway, today is...
Scrapbook Saturday
over at My Cricut Craftroom.
So, for today, I created this layout using the
Paisley cartridge and DCWV cardstock.
Yes... it is an 8.5 x 11 layout...
I like doing those every now and then.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
Please be sure to check out the other

Getting ready for CKC, and Getting Well Soon

I have been posting up a storm this week to get myself in he mood for the Creating Keepsakes Kansas City Convention. This will be my second year, and I'm so excited to go! The card is a get well soon card I made for a colleague who had a terrible accident at school the other day. He severed the tip of his pinky finger in a door (shudder), but was back in action the day after he had surgery to partially restore the finger. What a trouper! I used cuts Shell made me for the KC Cropper's cut swap, and lots of Stickles. Too much Stickles, really. But that's a topic for another post...Add Image

Birthday thanks

One of the things I love about my job is the great kids I work with. They truly are a nice bunch of girls, and they are very thoughtful (especially considering their ages!) My birthday was Sunday, and on Monday, one of my classes showed up with cards, balloons, and a fabulous homemade cake for me. This is the thank-you card I made for the "ring leader" of the birthday celebrants. I chose a cake theme, because she baked the cake for me. The image is one of my Lilli of the Valley stamps, and the paper is from the DCWV Sweet stack. Gotta love those cute bunnies (^-^)

Birthday Wishes

These are the birthday cards I made for fellow Octoberans Shell and Anndell. I used Cosmo Cricket paper on both- Honey Pie on Shell's card (top) and Girl Friday on Anndell's card (bottom). The little girl jumping rope is from a page of accent cuts from Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe collection. I borrowed the idea for the scalloped layers from a card I saw on Pinterest. On Anndell's card, I used an image I stamped using My Cute Stamps Konnichiwa set, and of course, my signature sequins.

Fall Layouts

It seems like it has been forever since I sat down and made actual scrapbook layouts. Cards seem to be my go-to projects lately. These layouts are made with cuts from the KC Croppers cut swap, and some paper from last year's Target dollar spot collection for fall.

Today I am Featured at
My Cricut Craft Room

Okay... so, can you guess which cartridge this came from?

I used the Life's A Party cartridge
