Welcome to our Lucky St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop - Day 2.
May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.–Irish blessing
For my projects today, I created several more cards.
A tri-step card for a dear friend of mine.
I had a very difficult time finding much St. Pat's
paper this year. But I just love this polka dot paper.
I used an action wobble on the leprechaun below.
The leprechaun is a svg file that my hubby created.
I will post it as a FREE SVG file on Tuesday
win I announce the winner of my blog candy.
Here is the card that my husband made for me.
He used svg files and pop dotted the little shamrocks.
I love receiving his homemade cards.
And here is a card that my dear friend and fellow blogmate
(Kitty) made for me. She used the Birthday Anya stamp from
The Greeting Farm. To cover the birthday hat on Anya, she
cut out a little leprechaun hat to place on her head. Super
creative Kitty!! I love the Anya stamps so this card is perfect.
Here is another card made by Kitty. She used one of the
SVG files that my hubby made. You can find the FREEBIE
at the top of the page or scroll down a little ways to that post.
Kitty and I both had a difficult time finding greens that matched.
I made some goodies for some little friends of mine.
One of my past students came over last night to visit.
He is in 5th grade now. So it was a lot different than
the Preschoolers that I am used to. But we performed
several science projects, had a picnic at the park, made
homemade play dough and goop. The pictures below
are of the GOOP. If you have never tried this with
your kid(s), you should. Unless your kid doesn't like to
get messy, he or she will LOVE this. I have done this
in the past with my preschoolers and it is always a
hit with the little guys and even the big kids love it.
The actual recipe is below. To find more fun kid friendly
projects, check out my pre -k website at www.prekfun.com
Homemade Goop Recipe
(Makes enough for 1 child.)
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup water
small bowl, tin pie plate, etc.
cookie sheet or pizza pan
more water
Food coloring (if desired)
We added one drop of green to make it the pale green in the pic.
Add the water to the corn starch in a bowl,
tin pie plate, etc. Mix it together using your hands.
If you need to add more water, add just a couple of drops
(especially after playing with it for awhile).
Ask your child questions like:
What does the corn starch smell like?
How does it feel?
What is it doing?
Thanks for stopping by today.
Remember if you leave a comment on both days of this hop
and become a follower, you have a chance of winning some green.
Sorry it's not the green you are probably thinking of nor is it the
gold at the end of the rainbow... but it's a few little green goodies.
I bagged all the little goodies in the pic below into a small green
organza drawbag and will be mailing it out to one LUCKY winner.I'll draw the LUCKY winner on Tuesday, March 20th.
May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light,
May good luck pursue you each morning and night.
