Halloween Goodies
I always enjoy paper crafting for the holidays. Here are the goodies I made for members of our local scrapbook group and friends. Many of these ideas came from pinterest. The mini witch hat bag idea was from Carolyn C. (Northland KC Croppers group member). If you are reading this Carolyn...Thank You, again. When she brought me one at our BOO Crop, I knew I had to try and duplicate it. So I made several. Now Halloween is over and I'm already looking forward to Thanksgiving projects.
Decorated Goodie Bags using Julie Nutting stamp, svg files ghost from Kadoodle Bug Designs, FabBOOlous printout, and bags from Target Dollar Spot.
Mini Candy bar nugget boxes.
Vintage Witch image and Bingo
card printed off my computer.
Twix or Treat Boo Bags.
Boo Bags from SVG file over at
My Scrap Chick, face is from a
large Peachy Keen Face stamp.
Twix printout from
My Computer Is My Canvas blog.
Itty Bitty Witch Hat mini bags
Carolyn C. gave me the idea.
There is a mini candy bar
inside each one. The hay is attached
with a hidden mini clothespin.
Chocolate Twizzler broomsticks.
Made using my Martha Stewart
Fringe scisdors.
Bugs and Kisses
Baggie full of Hershey kisses
and small plastic bugs. I found the
Bugs and Kisses printable on pinterest.
Printed it out and layered it onto bag headers. Then stapled the bag shut.
Spooky Boo Bags
The striped baggies came from
Target Dollar Spot. The ghosts
were cut using an SVG File from
Kadoodle Bug Designs. Then i used
a small die and spoooky stamp
for the little wording tag.
Here is a close up.
I also chalked her cheeks with pink
chalk to make her look more girly.
Tombstone Boxes
These had 2 pieces of Peanut Buttter
taffy inside. The boxes were precut
from the Target Dollar Spot. I just
glued the tabs together and added the
embellishments to the top of each one.
Peppermint Patties scallopped cover
The scalloped images can be removed
easily and added to a card, layout, etc.
Mint Matchbox Covers
Used my Martha Stewart scoring board to create these. I attached two white lifesaver mints using sticky glue dots. Stamped the Boo Image and added eyeballs.
That's it for now... more to come.

Pocket Scrapbook Storage
A little over a year ago, I began my journey into the world of so-called "pocket scrapbooking" or "card scrapbooking"- using the divided pages and premade cards from lines like Simple Stories, Project Life, Albums Made Easy, etc. I quickly figured out why this format was so popular, as it really is easy, and takes a lot of the guesswork out of designing and creating a layout. It also requires fewer "crafty skills", which is a plus for artistically challenged folks like me. So, I'm officially hooked.
The only thing I don't like about pocket scrapbooking is the problem of keeping all of those cards organized. They are harder to keep organized than 12x12 paper, and I was finding myself building up unwieldy piles of cards that I was jamming into photo boxes. It worked, but I found it cumbersome.
My friend Pinterest solved my deilimma for me when I came across a photo of an IKEA Raskog cart that had been converted to scrapbooking storage- specifically Project Life cards. If there is one thing I love in this world even more than scrapbooking, it is shopping IKEA, so I just happened to have one of those little wheeled beauties sitting in my living room, holding game consoles and accessories. After evicting the gaming supplies, I converted the cart into my version of the Raskog/Project Life Storage. There are so many additional ways to add storage to this unit that I've seen- magnetic jars, more hanging baskets- your ability to customize is limited only by your imagination and your pocketbook. However, even with a full compliment of extras, this is still very affordable storage. All told, I have less than $50 in this system. I love the idea of having everything in one place, and having it mobile. Well, sort of mobile. Now I need to figure out how to safely transport the cart to crops!

| On the second and third levels, I added an Antonius insert to organize my cards. |
Halloween Pocket Letters
Here are a few Halloween pocket letters that I mailed out this past week. I love making cutesy Halloween themed paper crafts.
I didn't make near as many as I made last year. But have been working on other Halloween paper crafts. I'll post those on Monday.

Pretty In Pink Flip Book
Recently one of my pocket letter pals introduced me to Flip Books. So I created this one for her. It's difficult to show how the tabs and pages in the booklet flips open in photos but I hope you get the idea. The paper and images came from http://www.hunkydorycrafts.co.uk/ I left a lot of blank spaces so she could add photos or journaling once she removes the "goodies" I included.
I have really neglected the blog... going to try to post more often. I have been very busy lately...
