WOULD YOU GUESS WEDNESDAY

Today I am Featured at
My Cricut Craft Room
for Would You Guess Wednesday.

Would you ever guess...
that I used the Disney Happily Ever After cartridge
to create this Fall layout.

Both the owl and squirrel came from the Disney cartridge.
There are so many great images other
than just the main images on cartridges.

Check out more Would You Guess Wednesday projects

September Cut Swap

Here are my September KC Croppers cut swap cuts. I recently purchased the Four Legged Friends cartridge, so I used it on both cuts. I know I am always talking up the great deals to be found on Ebay, but this cartridge served as an important reminder that every once in a while, you find a bad apple. I bought this for $23 in August, and never received it. Ebay canceled the listing before I could dispute, so now I'm having to go through the Buy It Now service for a refund, and it's slow going, to say the least. I guess it was fated that I own this cart, though, because I happened to find it at my local Walmart- the only one left, tossed on a bottom shelf- even though it has been out of stock forever.

I feel a little silly about the lengths I've gone to to get it, considering that I really only bought it for one cut- the cute little hamster. I do really like the other cuts too, though, now that I have had a chance to examine them. I think I'll be using Four Legged Friends a lot. It's not quite Create -A- Critter, but it does have a lot of cute animal cuts, and I'm all about cute little animals!

Card Creating Tuesday

It seems like here lately I have been making more cards than layouts.

Here are some of my most recent.

The two cartridges I used for these lil' cards are...
Simply Charmed cartridge... for the sun
Just Because Cards cartridge... for the card itself.

Then I added some paper from DCWV Stack 7,
a little red button to each, and used some
yellow twine to attach the button to the card.

For this card, I used Create A Critter cartridge
to create the cute chick. I also used yellow cardstock,
DCWV Stack 7 paper, orange ribbon, and I printed
the wording on with my printer. I really love
how this one turned out... very simple!

I made this Batman card for my 9 yr. old nephew.
This cut actually came from Anndell McGuire
(a fellow KC Cropper) from the KC Croppers Cut Swap group.
I knew right away I had to make a birthday card
for my nephew with it. The cut was made from
Batman: Brave & the Bold cartridge.
Thanks Anndell!! I used yellow, navy blue, and black cardstock.
Inked the edges and added little bats on the bottom with a marker.

The final card, I made for my Mom...
I used the
Spring Holidays Card cartridge
and added a few lil' embellishments.

Wedding Card

Remember my KC Croppers Cut Swap cuts for last month? Of course you do! This is the little card the cuts were made for. One of my cousins was married last weekend, and this is the card I made her. The cuts are altered from Twinkle Toes dancers, and I used one of my Sizzix embossing folders for the textured background.

I used cuts (from Molly Burkett on the KC Croppers
Cut Swap group) on this layout.
The flower came from Walk In My Garden and the leaf came
from Plantin School Book Font cartridge.
Thanks Molly for the cute cuts...
they worked great on my layout!!
I also lightly inked the edges of my
photo mats with purple ink.
Sorry, I can't remember where the paper came from...
It is some that I have had lying around for awhile.

Smurf Party

With the release of the new Smurf movie this summer,
we knew we had to throw a Smurf party.

My dear friend Anndell made this adorable Smurf village
with marshmallows, 1/2 donut holes, red icing,
and white choc. chips. Aren't they the cutest thing?
They were so delicous!! I wish I had one right now... yummy!

Dinner was easy... we ordered pizza
from Pizza Hut and had a veggie tray.

I purchased blue Mondo (Fruit Squeezers)
from the dollar store for the kids drink's...
we also had regular soda, water, and tea available
for the adults.

I purchased some small Smurf figurines from the Target dollar
spot several months ago and some came from McD's Happy Meals.
We used these as table decorations for the kiddos to play with
while they were waiting for their food.

Below is a picture of the BINGO game that my husband created.

Click HERE if you would like to download a FREE copy of the game.

We used mini marshmallows for the game pieces....
I was wanting to use blue M & M's but couldn't find any.

Kaden & Ronin as lil' Smurfs!!
Anndell made their smurf hats from white felt.

I purchased the prizes from the Target Dollar Spot...
prizes for both kids and adults. But forgot to take pics
of the other prizes... here is one prize...
and I found the cutest Smurf bags to put the prizes in.

Our Smurf decorations...

I printed Smurf images from a google search and glued them
onto white pennants cut from cardstock. I used my
fiskars border punch for the edges of the pennants.

Smurf sign for the door.

Ater eating and playing Smurf Bingo, we aslo played a Smurf Trivia game.
Then we all went to the theater to see the new Smurf movie.
Everyone loved the movie... kids and adults alike.

Hope you all have a Smurf-erific Day!

My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to
My Cricut Craft Room's
100 Cartridge Blog Hop

You should have come from
Simply Sweet by Sharon
If you did not please start at the begining of the hop at
My Cricut Craft Room

For my project this month, I created an interactive songbook
for my preschool class to use during Circle Time.
Obviously, the kiddos would destroy this in a second
if I let them use it on their own. So, I plan to only
use it during our Circle Time... with teacher supervision.

If you are interested in any of the lyrics to the songs,
you can email me at
shellabc@prekfun.com
and I would be glad to send them to you.

(For the cover, I used Plantin Schoolbook cartridge)

(Old MacDonald Had A Farm page... I used Create A Critter)

Each animal is laminated with velcro on the back...
as we sing Old MacDonald Had A Farm... one child at a time
will place his/her animal onto the barn and we sing about that animal.

(All the Fish Are Swimming in the Water page...
I used Everyday Paper Dolls)
(Mr. Sun page... I used Simply Charmed Cartridge)

(Five Little Hotdogs... I used Simply Charmed Cartridge)

Each hotdog is attached to the pan by velcro...
this is a fun counting song.

(A Pirate's Life For Me Page...
I used B is For Boy Cricut Lite cartridge & Paper Doll Dress Up)

(I've Been Working On the Railroad & Engine, Engine pages...
I used Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge)

(Zoo Animal Pages... I used Create A Critter & B is for Boy Cricut Lite)

(Airplane page includes an airplane "puppet"... attached the cut to a popsicle
stick... so child can "fly" the airplane around. I used the "B Is For Boy" Cricut Lite cart.
to create the airplane.)

To be eligible to win my blog candy below you MUST become
a follower of my blog and leave a comment under this message.

BLOG CANDY...

Happy Terp-day

My husband turns 30 on Friday, so I made him a little card. He likes terrapins, so it seems as if I always make him terp- themed cards. This card uses one of Sliekje's digital stamps, DCWV Summer Dream paper, and some of my homemade "baker's twine".
